Where engines are up-graded, modified away from standard, setting the fuelling correctly is hampered by the standard bi-metallic jet holder bracket. This bracket causes the fuelling to lean out when the fuel temperature rises in the float bowl, caused by changing under-bonnet temperature. Seen on the dyno and rolling road when the engine is run under full load, then lift-off. Especially on rolling roads with the engine tested in the car. The post run heat build-up causes the fuelling to lean off. At idle this causes rough running, and initial fuel lean-out on acceleration. Precison manufactured in stainless steel, this bracket does not have the bi-metallic strip in it, so gives consistent fuelling at all temperatures.
