RE289, as of 2023, the latest in cam development from Russell Engineering specifically designed for the small-bore engine range. Designed to produce strong performance between 2000 and 6000rpm. Works very well in most engine build specs, but requires a decent cylinder head to get the best from it. As a minimum, a standard head with a big valve conversion applied. That is a 1.218" inlet valve with critical and specific multi-angle valve seat as per CST2006.
Recommended compression ratio is 9.5:1 to 10.0:1
All cams have A+-type slot drive for oil pump.Now ground on brand new cross-drilled cam blanks, kit contains RE289 cam, quality followers, cam lube, valve springs and cam installation instructions.
