RE266ss, as of 2023, the latest in cam development from Russell Engineering for large-bore based road-sports engines. Designed to give stronger performance between 1500 to 6000rpm than the legendary RE13 in less modified build specs. Works very well in a standard engine fitted with the standard big valve heads (those with 35,7mm fitted - Cooper S, MG Metro). Particularly with the big valve converted head by CST (see CST2009). A fully modified head will give best performance.
Recommended compression ratio 9.5:1 to 10.0:1.
All cams have A+-type slot drive for oil pump.Now ground on brand new cross-drilled cam blanks, kit contains RE266ss cam, quality followers, cam lube, valve springs and cam installation instructions.
